I have 2 x what i believe to be standard S1W headers that have one of the pipes stapped of where they join. I took these to a local welder to have repaired and he said he believed they were titanium and didn't have rod to weld. Were they titanium as standard on S1Ws? How do you tell? Thanks for the help |

I do not think any of the headers are titanium. They are stainless. Many confuse to gold tint for titanium but ti would turn blue when heated. I do think there were a few one off race only titanium but not sure. Post a pic and we can tell you. Also there are tricks for installing these exhaust do they do not break pm me foe Buellistics exhaust 101 |

Agreed - stainless steel. All tuber headers were stainless (factory and Race accessory), other than some (1999, I believe) M2 mild steel headers that were painted black. Now that I think, not sure if the X1W headers were stainless under the blue powdercoat, but I would assume yes... |
