Author Message   Bsanorton Posted on Friday, March 30, 2018 - 07:27 am:        I had an oops moment and toppled over onto my wife's cement doggie at the end of my driveway. Do I need to totally repaint my gas tank or can this be spot repaired? I tried my hand at it and did several wet sands and several layers of touch up, it's only getting darker. Didn't wet sand the last coat. if I continue I think I need to put white bade down.   Ratbuell Posted on Friday, March 30, 2018 - 07:54 am:        Time for graphics. Or a 2-tone. Or a ghost stripe - different shade, defined outline. That looks like volcano gray? You'll never blend it; if you want same-color, you'll be redoing the whole tank. Add in the "fun" of getting paint to stick to a tuber tank...and you're best off either splitting it (graphics or 2 tone), or just painting the whole thing.
