Aaron, or anyone else, for that matter; Ever since the recent mods to my M2, I've been having this recurring dream about the ultimate Cyclone motor. Of course I can't say money is no object, but how would YOU go about building a well-mannered street monster for a tuber? I've got some ideas, but I'd like to hear from those of you who have had success with particular products and/or combinations. Bear in mind I'm running the following performance mods at present; HSR42 Andrews N8 cams Buell M2 race kit I'm thinking forward to future mods and also to what it would take (including money estimates) to build a motor from the ground up as a drop-in. Feel free to elaborate! |

Kirk, Going to be darn hard to beat the combo Aaron has on his M2. That thing is a 150+ MPH beast! Baddest M2 I've ever heard. |

I'd order a crate engine from these guys... http://www.sscycle.com/iframes/catalog.php Then I'd use a Baker 6-speed and HSR42. Sigh... |

Firemanjim, Now, when you say Mikuni... I just installed the HSR 42. You recommending the 42, or the 45 to go with with the Big Bore Nallin kit? And as for the XB heads...stock? Or stage 1,2 or 3? Why Red Shift, and what grind? And what valve train goodies to go with it, and why? (I'm not gonna let you off the hook THAT easy...) Bluz-Any idea what 'zactly Aaron is running? Dj- The HSR is not all that much compared to what you might sink into a CV40 trying to make it perform well. What is the Baker gonna gain me (for the outrageous price) under 120mph? My Yamaha has a six speed in it and I'm CONSTANTLY upshifting/downshifting to find the "sweet spot"...my M2 doesn't seem to care as long as it's over 3K. |

Dj- The HSR is not all that much compared to what you might sink into a CV40 trying to make it perform well. That's why I want one! What is the Baker gonna gain me (for the outrageous price) under 120mph? Smoother shifting, lower rpms at cruise speed, closer ratios, more gears to utilize a rather narrow useable rpm range. |
