I figured you were up to something when I saw you selling your old shifter(I think that was you). That looks great! Do you have access to a CNC, or did you make those manually on a mill? |

Yes it was mine I have a manual mini mill and lathe but these are beyond my skills right now. Both parts are made by the guru Purpony. The shifter is actually a first version I purchased and he set up for my special kickstand location and am testing it out as He will be making these to sell once he gets it fine tuned. |

Gotcha, I assumed those were made out of the metal you posted the picture of. What are the plans for the aluminum? Or is that a secret? |

That looks extremely impressive. Did they cut off that top piece of the bar clamp in that shape, or did they just cnc it down and cut a second piece entirely to fit in there?? |

Milled the two seperatly then put it together and finished the milling. All done by Purpony |

That was the only thing that made sense in my head, but I know some people can do some pretty impressive things with tools that are a bit over my head, so I wasn't sure. I really want to put a smaller speedo/tach on my bike and ditch the flyscreen, but the other half of me hates to mess with the part that has the odometer in it. Not sure why because I'd still know the actual mileage by adding the old odometer with the new one, and I don't really have intentions of selling this bike, ever, to have to worry about someone thinking I was screwing with the mileage, but still. |

I have a picture stowed in my build info of the original speedo and milage but like you this will not be for sale and if it ever was the buyer would understand due to all the mods |

Oh you should've seen that coming! Maybe if you polish it up it'll hold you over for a while, but I'm sure at some point we'll see a nice CNC bottom triple on there. Yours will definitely be more acceptable with all of the mods. I'll probably replace mine someday, but I'll wait until I've done a little more work to the bike first. I think at this point I'm just going to take off the flyscreen and find a way to mount the gauges right over the headlight, which will be fine for now. |

I've always liked those plate mounts that wrap around the wheel. I've got pictures of an S1 saved somewhere that have something similar bolted to the swingarm. |

yeah... hydraulic. I have a couple of wet-heads and I really like the tighter feel of the hyd clutch. I was just thinking the leaky clutch cable... that's the only place my Westwind drips. |

Significant progress made. Down to a few odds and ends and we will see if I fixed the jumping belt. All thats left Install new belt /pulley Attach front brake wires to master Install speed sensor for moto mini Make and install new clutch cable Install shorter front brake hose Verify and check all fasteners and connections ( I will be making a set of drag styl straight bars as these will be to low and if flipped to high?

Waiting for my clutch cable kit from Venhill so I can make the cable |

So waiting on the correct clutch cable kit to arrive and started working on the belt skip issue. Well the 139 tooth belt with the idler wheel in place is loose a skips teeth on the rear sprocket. The 137 wont even fit around both front and rear with the idler off. So here is where I sit with choices as they dont make a 138 t belt. Install the bigger front sprocket hope it ads enough tension or Find an idler wheel that is 5/8" bigger or Mod this idler wheel to make it bigger or have a new ifler bracket made or Lastly find a hals swingarm so I can add tension I did start working on my spees sensor bracket and got to throw some chips. Might remake it with a little more protection at the tip of the reed switch

You could make a adjustable belt tensioner instead the steady one you now have on the bike! |
