So Have not done much since figuring out my belt was skipping. I tried going to the stock xb rear pulley but the belt will not come close to fitting and its 139. I have ordered a 137 tooth belt hopefully it fixes it but unless the snow clears up I will not know till spring. If it does not I will be looking for an adjustable chain conversion swingarm and either it works or I go chain drive. Also on the plate is sending my dash and top triple out for some mill time with Purpony to fab somecartvwork! |

Ken ,reading your typing you do a lot on IPhone lately he!? About a chain conversion ,you can make a tensioner to work with the xb swing arm you have now. And didn't you got a chain swing arm from XBlast? |

I made a tensioner last summer for a xb9 that kept breaking belts. Made an adjustable tensioner bracket from iron in place of the stock alloy bracket. Worked pretty good and was a happy customer! A rear wheel like EricZ made for his turbo xb would make it complete! |

What did Joesbuell with belt and pulleys? Never read about he having this issues that you now have. |

He uses a 26T front and a 55t back with a 135 T belt. I chatted with him He has no issues and never has. He does have his swing arm slightly flatter not sure that matters. Basically my belt even with my tensioner is to loose I have a video we shot the belt really slaps when under load. The thing with this setup and the tensioner is we dont set them up scary loose like the tuber because the tensioner works with the swingarm to keep the correct load. I will get it figured out. |

Could be an 03 XB9 using the one year only Gates XB belt with smaller, fine tooth pitch. That belt is prone to failure. |

Phelan Not sure what you are meaning. Joe uses a baker 26 front with a euro 55t rear tuber sprocket and 1 1/8 14 mm pitch I am using a custom made 61 t rear xb sprocket and stock 27 in front with a 139 t 14mm pitch belt |

I was talking about Mees' friend. His XB9 could be a first year model like mine, that has a more fragile Gates belt with different tooth pitch and different pulleys. |

Yes it was a early XB9 with the first generation pulleys and belt. He broke already two belts ,so knowing his riding style i suggested a chain conversion to him. Got a sprocket set from XBlast on here ,bought a new 520 chain and made a adjustable tensioner with a steel 17 teeth idler wheel and also a chain guide for the swing arm. |

Ok here is an update Still resolving the belt slip issue. I have ordered a 137 t belt three times from three diffrent sources and each time recieved a 139 so srill working on it. Have a new design in the works for yhe dash once my mock up is done I will post some pics. Also working on a new plate location ans set up to clean the tail up. |

That's really odd. I wonder if there was something going on at the manufacturer where a batch of belts got mislabeled, so all of the dealerships are getting in the 139 belts when they order 137, and think they're sending you the right one. Might have to try calling to order over the phone and see if someone can actually take the time to count the teeth before you finish the order. |

Earlier this year, Froggy mentioned that there were issues with dealers ordering incorrect belts as the part number in the dealers' computers was incorrect. See thread here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/790370.html?1469287290 However, it seems the problem there was people receiving belts with too few teeth, rather than too many. Still, Froggy might be able to shed some light on the situation. |

Trying to de clutter under the seat so I am relicating the plate. I first made a mount to put it of to the side but did notvlike it at all. SonI think I like this route. Yes this is rough it will get cleaned up.

And they say that the crossroad 7'degree handle bars are extreme! The upper triple looks good ,but I'm not so sure about the handle bars position. |

As a disclaimer the bars are not in the final position. They can be rotated 360 degree. Cant sit on the bike at the moment so I just threw them on. I will say they will be low it relieves the tension on my back L4 L5 area which has been under the knife 12 times. |

Do you have any bigger/closer pictures of the top triple? It looks nice, but it's a little hard to see in the smaller pictures. If you do end up keeping the bars that low, you'll probably get a more comfortable position if you flip the bars backwards. Then they'll be low but still curve back towards you like clip-ons would. |

Here are some better pics. And yes flipping the bars will be done if I want them that low. Can not flip them currently and install controls because the left side grip area is knurled to the throttle will not go over it. Remember This was display set up only nothing is routed correctly just a trial fit. (Message edited by S1owner on March 13, 2017) |

love the triple trees, but those bars... they just look very off to me. but if you say they are comfy then i guess why not. |

Right now the bars are all wrong they are sctually backwards causing them to bend to the front. Once properly on they will be pitched correctly. But I can run them upright also. Just showing that I have 360 degree Adjustability. But with them down it is very comfortable for me when sitting on the bike so far. Here was my inspiration
