So i found this light on ebay for about $50 and decided to give it a shot. Its a knock off of the $500 Harley Davidson LED Headlight. Since we all know the stock headlight is horrible i figured i would take the gamble. Ive tried tons of different bulbs, even HID's and still the stocker was terrible. This light on the other hand is amazing! The quality of the light is very solid. The light output is like night and day (pun intended). I could even see fairly well with my dark visor on. Another great part is that is comes with the H4 pigtail so it just plugs right into the factory plug. Not cutting or adapters. Below are some pics. They are not great because it was late in my shed and i had no room but you can get the idea. Now for the only downfall, it doesnt fit the bucket. Our stock headlight bucket or should i say, the mounting ring is too big for a standard 7" headlight. So as you can see in the photos i had to make a trim ring to make it fit. Notice the 6 little button head screws. Basically i had to mount the new headlight to the trim ring (6 bolts). and then mount the trim ring to the headlight mount. It wasn't too difficult, but it is something you have to be aware of. Plus i think the screws kinda give it a cool look. So anyway what do you guys think? |

I was looking at the ring with the bolts wondering what was going on with them. I'd definitely like to see some better pictures of the fitment and what you had to do to get it mounted to the bike. Looks really good though! I definitely notice my headlight being horrible, but luckily I'm not out very much at night. For $50, that's definitely a deal though. |

I LOVE this!! I have no complaints of my stock light but that monster looks terrifying Reminds me of those three legged dog things in half life #1 for some reason. (Looked it up. They're called Houndeyes) |

The light pattern and output look like a car headlight. No joke this thing is amazing. Will try and post night time pics if I can. If I get around too it I could disassemble and take pics. I had my work cut out the adapter from 1/8" steel. I can upload the drawing if it would help you guys. Not sure when I will get another opening for the waterjet. |

When I looked at them on ebay yesterday it looked like they were a full headlight that you'd just have to bolt to the stock headlight mounts. Was the one that you ordered just the internals of the headlight, that you needed the adapter ring to make it fit? Or did you pull the new light apart to fit it into the buell headlight bucket, or am I just confused all together? |

Makes sense! When I looked on ebay yesterday I was seeing some that looked like this one.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Cafe-Racer-Bobber-Moto rcycle-Black-HeadLight-6-1-2-Projector-Daymaker-LE D-/232246543710?fits=Year%3A2007%7CMake%3AHarley-D avidson&hash=item3612f9055e:g:ZvMAAOSwjDZYdguC&vxp =mtr which include the bucket so it'd be a simple bolt on. I didn't look at the wiring on any of those to see if the plugs match like yours did though. Prices seem to be all over the place, so I don't have any idea how you'd know if you were getting something as bright as yours or not(unless you bought one from the same seller). I think the bolted on ring makes yours look even better than the otherwise complete headlights though, if you've got access to the tools to make one. |

I saw that one too. The full assembly one. The only reason i didnt go with that one is because i didnt feel like waiting for it to come from china. If it was stocked in the USA then i defintly would have. Honestly if you can wait then thats the way to go. no modding just bolt right on. |

Looks really good. I like the use of the monster fairing to. Was going to buy a s2r the other day but it was already sold.. I found this a while back and plan on doing the upgrade next. There are places that sell the reduced ring but they're usually $100, wonder if there are cheaper ones. I think I will change the bucket like this one, I like the chrome ring and 7" led.. http://www.buellxb.com/forum/showthread.php?48745- X1-JW-Speaker-8700-Evolution-2-LED-Headlight-Mod |

I bought one of the lights from your link. I'm gonna try the smaller bucket from my link . Going for the daily driven confed hellcat look. lol The kuryakyn velociraptor intake would match the bezel you made really well. I have one on my bike, looks similar to the design you made. |

Please let me know how that works out with the bucket. That would be a nice $100 combo for the buell community that wish to upgrade there headlights. Its honestly worth every penny. Unfortunately, North Jersey got dumped with another 2' of snow so i have still yet to be able to get the bike out to post the light pattern. |

Well I got the bucket and light in and gave it a shot. Nope. lol! First thing is the bucket uses clips to hold the light in. My first experience with this. It kinda sucks.. Second I tried angling the headlight brackets inward more nope don't reach. It would need some kind of shim in between the bracket and bucket. I tested the led light. It is nice. So I'm gonna try to return the bucket and keep the led light. I found the aluminum finish adapter ring from motodemic plan to get that one for my bike. https://motodemic.com/shop/ducati-7-inch-headlight-adapter-ring/

For (cheap) led lights you can go for one of this, http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/803607.html?1489877860 There are lots of options and price ranges to choose from. |
