The S3 (and S2) saddlebags were Buell's design and manufactured by some of the same companies that manufactured other components for Buell during that era. For instance, Buell manufactured the (RTM) fiberglass bag bodies and bag lids for the S2. Most of the latches used on the S3 saddlebags were from Southco and, as far as I know, standard items for them. The problem is that they likely may no longer make those particular latches as they update their product lines quite often. HTH, 1313 |

No idea if this would work on S3 cases, as I don't have an S3, but it might. The latches also come in black, and Ebay is the place to get them. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/328431.html?1221009168 |

I ran across a LinkedIn profile of a person who stated they worked on a line of locks and key switches for Harley Davidson Buell products while working for a company called CompX. I haven't downloaded their catalogs to look for a suitable replacement for the latches, but it might be worth a look. |

The latches on the S3 bags I've got on my M2 have failed and I've had to drill out the tops to access the cam mechanism to unlock the bags per http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/671637.html and have been happy enough with the results. |
