It mounts up just fine the small stop that blocks the swing arm from pivoting up to much needs ground alittle on the steel swing arm mount its about a 1/2 piece that sticks out.
The black S1 above has the stock S1 pivot block took about a minute to grind the spot. The swing arm bolts right in.I have made this swap in several bikes they all work very easily.

@S1 Thanks for the info. I noticed you removed the passenger pegs structure was that mandatory to run the swingarm?

I think I'm just gonna stick with just the wheel and fork swap for now. I started the tear down lastnight and realized that I think I need the xB front axle too. Is that correct?

No
But think about it. One seat bike and rear footpegs?

Just like a normal solo seat s1 haha. I pulled my pegs of but now I have random brackets. I've thought about putting pegs back on just so the brackets didn't look so random. Wish they invited like every other bike.

If you look really close you will see aluminum spiked plugs in the pipes I cut off.
That frame Giovoni has in Illinois should be his next build!

If I knew without a doubt I wouldn't need them, I'd consider cutting them off nicely. At this point though I wouldn't mind finding a twin tail someday. My wife used to like taking rides on my last bike. I know the S1 isn't a picnic for passengers either way you look at it, but it'd be nice to have the option again at some point, so I'll leave them as is.

I was going to plug the rear peg triangles with adapters that would allow me to install them if I wanted them with a pin.

Ok here's a progress update. Started tearing down the bike. Have the rear wheel and brake off, also have removet the front forks and triple clamps. When I removed the front wheel I noticed that the bolts that hold the front brake rotor on seem like the Allen wrench holes are stripped and one of them has a torqs bit broke off in it so I can't remove the rotor or caliper from the wheel... Well not without a few headaches anyways. So whoever buys the pm wheels also gets what I was told is an ebr rotor and the caliper with it!!! I have a few pics and some videos which I will have to figure out how to upload videos. Yes incase you are wondering I tied ratchet strap ends around parts of the frame to make lifting points so that I could hang it with my cherry picker. Don't worry im a nationally certified rigger!

Also I have contenential motion tires on the way for the new wheels,as well as the wheel spacers, new stem, bolt kit for the front rotor, front axle, and have sent off the rear brake bracket to be machined.

Removing the stripped rotor bolts isn't that hard. Get an appropriate number of nuts (say 3/8ths or so). Lay the nuts on top of the offending bolt and weld right through the middle of it. The heat will break the thread locker loose and the nut will give you something to turn the bolt out with.

looks like you're getting some work done! It's an EBC rotor. Not as cool as an EBR rotor, but still nice! Looking forward to watching the progress.

I'm gonna give welding a nut on a shot and see if it works.

Ok so here are some updated. I got my tires in and my engineered velocity stem and spacers. I got the old xB steering stem pressed out and the new one pressed in. I also received the rotor bolts from EBR today and got the EBR race rotor mounted to the xB wheel. With the old pm wheels I was able to get the front rotor off by tacking some nuts to the bolts. I have ordered a xb steering stem clamp nut as well as a 2000 x1 swingarm. I think I have all of my old parts sold just waiting on people to send me some money. So yeah everything is going according to plan... Well it's at least going anyways.

Looking good so far! This is gonna be a good looking bike! Document your swingarm swap well! I think I'm gonna try to do mine over thanksgiving weekend. To save you the research time, the replacement bolt you need to attach the shock to the new swingarm is an m12x55mm, 1.75 thread, grade is 10.9.

Remember you need the new rear axle and adjusters with the swingarm the steel swingarm ones wont work.
As far as swapping them its as easy as removing and replacing there is nothing complicated as long as you have the manual just follow steps to remove and reinstall.
Fyi this is the time to replace the rear isos if you need to

Upthemaiden I will document it as best as I can and thanks for the info on the bolt!

S1owner- I guess I need to look for the axle I did some Google research and thought the axle was the same. I have a lead on the adjusters and caliper bit will have to locate the axle. And with this bike being a mix of the s1,x1, and xB what manuals do I need? And the swing arm co.es with what looks like good isolators.

You definitely can use your axle, but it's slightly longer than the axle that goes with the aluminum swingarm, so you'll just need to get some washers to take up the gap. It's only a little longer. I was going to mention it when Ken said you needed the new one... But considering how much work you are putting into this bike and how nice it's gonna be, I figured you were probably gonna want the proper one so I just kept my mouth shut haha.

The S1 and an XB manual should do. I don't think any of the X1 parts you're using would be enough to need that manual.

Swingarm looks good! You even got the mounting bracket and a belt guard. Those isolators are the old ones. If they're in good shape, there's no reason you couldn't use them, but again, with the money and effort you're already putting into this bike, I'd grab a set of the updated isolators and throw them in there while you're at it. Stash those old ones in a box on a shelf somewhere for when yours go bad in 20 years and new ones are impossible to find, at least you'll have some back ups.

Thanks for the info. I've already got over $1600 in parts alone. Believe it or not my wife hasn't killed me yet. I will look into the isolators and I've found a few axles on ebay. I think I'm gonna get all of the parts I have right now installed then take a look and see what all is still needed. Then once it's all put together I'm gonna ride it for a while or if it's still winter I might tear is down again for paint and powdercoating. My original plan was to build the bike and sell it but I'm not sure I'm gonna want to sell it after all of the work I have into it.

No reason not to use those isolators if they're still good.

Sounds like a good wife! I'm probably somewhere near $750 on mine at this point, but it's all been maintenance stuff like brakes and isolators, not really many fun upgrades(aside from the swingarm, that's just for looks and would probably sit on the shelf for a year or two if it wasn't for the fact that my isolators need replaced so bad already). We're having a baby in February, so I'm doing my best to avoid eBay at the moment haha. Someday this thing is going to get a complete tear down and rebuild replacing all the hardware, new braided houses for everything, some paint, cleaning up all of the rough looking metal, but I want to ride it for a couple years first(just picked it up in February, and it sat untouched until I finished redoing the kitchen in August so I've only been on it a few months at this point), and even then I'd prefer to have another bike in the garage to ride before I do, who knows how long it'll be off the road if I'm gonna get that detailed with it.

The S1 manual is in the knowledge vault the xb manuals can be found online just get the correct one there are suttle diffrences.
When I did this to my s1 the caliper and mount worked if the s1 but some people had issues.
There are several tricks to installing the isos
I have a few documented pm me. They can be a bear!
My suggestion dont "make it work because it can by the correct part as there my be suttle diffrences that cause issues down the road.

I am hoping this works but here is a link to the s1 pics in my photo bucket and a link to my new build there may be things in there that help

Your plan was to buy a tube frame Buell, sink a couple grand into it and then sell it for a profit?

I'm just happy if I can sell a bike for the same or a little more than I paid for it. I've done that with most of the used bikes I've bought, and it's like getting to use a free bike for a year or two.
