I have a 1997 Buell S3T with 17,298 miles I want to put up for sale. It's in good condition. I replaced rear frame pucks two years ago and has tires with less than 500 miles on them. Clutch needs adjustment and or service. It is a garage queen but runs/rides great. As we all know, the blue book does not do these bikes justice. What should I list it for sale as? It was owned by a Harley dealer owner previously and I am the second owner. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's gorgeous. Sorry I can't be any more help haha. Really, I'd say .....$4000-4500 on the optimistic side just because I really like it. Make sure you point out stuff like the new isolators to someone who's looking at it. I didn't even know what those were when I bought my bike, and of course it cost me an extra $200 when guys on the forum pointed out that mine were shot. You won't get credit for replacing them if you don't point it out(unless the buyer already knows buells well). That's an awesome tank bag too, it's just gray and rough enough to match the personality of a tuber perfectly. I'm gonna have to keep an eye out on ebay for one of those! |

3 to 3500 is what it will go for. Unfortunately they dont get what they are worth. You can get more if you wait for the right buyer. Here is one that is awesome with an 88" and he is looking for 3800 and it has been well upgraded http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 783273.html?1473608503 |

Thank you! The help is much appreciated! Bike isn't mint, but I needed some ideas. Blue book is around $2K, I think. But, Buell value changes that somewhat, from what I have seen on listing prices. Just wanna be fair. |

I'm hopefully picking up a 1995 S2 that is almost completely stock with 19k miles for $2500. Unfortunately, the price on these older Buells isn't great. Nice if you're the buyer, bad if you're the seller. |

Don't take anything less than $2500. In my head it's worth a thousand more than that, but in the real world.... |

TBH, I think yours might be worth more for being basically stock. Having the lowers and airbox helps. $3800-4000... |

I agree. $2500 would be a downright shame for that bike. I paid $2500 for my S1. It needed the brakes overhauled, the isolators replaces, turn signals weren't working, a few rust spots here and there, fork seal leaking... It was a good deal but probably needed $750 in parts and a bit of garage time, plus I drove a few hours to pick it up. Your bike looks beautiful and looks like it's ready to go. I don't think I'd take less than $3500 for it, unless you've REALLY gotta sell it. Then you know.... mail me that tank bag |

Some other items I didn't post that are fairly new or replaced. Tires with less than 500 miles on them and pads were replaced less than 1K ago. Bike is around 90-95% stock. Various carbon fiber from previous owner. I appreciate the help from the group here. I think I'm gonna post on the local Craigslist at around $3500 and hope I don't get someone that wants just the motor. It really is a good machine. Very smooth in the corners and straight lines but this one becomes the garage queen and my Ulysses is the usual for riding. |

2 years ago I paid $3200 for an 02 with 23K on it. It has the PM wheels, race ECM, proseries exhaust, CF aircleaner and a Ventura rack with the large bag for extras. I bought it in Virginia but live in Mass. Prices vary a bit depending on where you live. My guess is $3500 is a good starting point. |

I live about an hour from East Troy, so hopefully I can pull some good interest just because of some familiarity. |

Last Spring, I bought my 98 S3 from Uke's for $2,500 with 22,000. It had been sitting for while. They listed it the previous year and it never sold. They took it off of their website and stuffed it in the basement. Then they relisted it early this year. I think the right venue is important. Most Harley guys aren't going to know or care anything about a Buell. |
