Good day fellow S2 fans, I'm restoring a '95 S2 and have had the tail section repainted, now need to re-paint the black license holder section. It looks like some type of egg shell/satin finish black but wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone know anything more specific. Also need to repaint the inside of the front fairing. Going to use flat black unless someone has a better suggestion here as well. Thanks again, Rick "Rtlll" rtlll@yahoo.com |

The original coating - which I detested back in the day, but am trying to find for my 1998 S3T Defender restoration - was called Vynalon. Not sure if I spelled it right, but I know numerous web searches have netted zilch no matter how I spelled it. Personally, I'd love to find something that gives the same appearance but is much more durable... 1313 |

...spray-on bediner, or rubberized undercoating? Bedliner is more chemical resistant; undercoating is a bit more flexible but the wrong cleaner can "melt" it. Either shoots out textured; you can vary your distance and light/heavy coats to get the desired finish. |

Duplicolor Spatter Paint has kind of a high-build textured effect and is supposed to replicate 60's trunk finishes. |
