I did the same thing to my S1. Went all black with purple mica. Had to have it as all the cars and trucks with it look so sharp.
Then realized it shows every spec of dirt and every finger print!!!
It is now all raw aluminum

Lance was a huge help, actually did most of it. Having all the parts at the shop didn't hurt either.

If you look at the top triple tree, the speedo is recessed into it. I love it because it disappears when the bike is off, but when on it is clear as day with full sun on it.
