Author Message   Truckedup Posted on Thursday, May 19, 2016 - 06:14 am:        I put a chain conversion on my 97 M2...I like the slightly lowered gearing that makes 55 mph smoother and better throttle response...But the strange vibes that came after converting to chain is something I don't like... I have a buyer for the chain conversion....I want to use a Baker steel 26 tooth front pulley that will be the same ratio I had with the chain.... Question, will the stock 128 tooth belt adjust ok with the smaller front pulley? With a loose belt adjustment on the stock 27 tooth pulley the axle was in the middle of swingarm slots...And will the tighter radius of the 26 tooth pulley damage the belt? I also noticed I lost a vibration between 3,000-3,500 rpm. Bakers pulley was also 1lb lighter than stock.
