Ok hopefully someone else has dealt with this also i checked into my recalls like jim2 said and my shock recall is open according to danbury hd so thats good free shock but they looked it up and it said obsolete part so please any help on where to go from here i can fix it i just need the shock lol is there still a way to get it? | ||

You find them from time to time on eBay, and they go for about 4 hundred bucks new, typically. Used ones are fairly common, but they will fail on you, so it's hardly worth the effort. If my shock fails, I'm buying aftermarket, probably Penske. They're a grand, but worth it. I've read that it is the single biggest improvement you can make to a tuber. | ||

yes i was looking at the one form twin cycles its around 650 and looks good if anyone has one let me know how it is but i was hoping to just get the free one for the recall and buy a better one later | ||

I have the M2L shock in the classifieds for $100. It is new, never installed, but not in original box so I am selling for the price I paid for it. It is for an M2L which means it will lower the back end of a regular M2 maybe 1/2" to 1". I have dropped my rear about 1-1/2" (with a Penske and modified shock mount) without adjusting the front and am very happy. Granted, I am not the sportiest or most aggressive rider in the twisties. I'll do 50 on most twisties marked 30. I don't shoot at doubling them anymore. I never was good at that. | ||
