With the long spacers, did anyone discover the large threaded stud was too short?

to clear the button head screws that hold the center disk on the pulley cover (if you are using the one from Crossroads Performance) you need the longer offset, do not use the washer if you use the longer spacer.
I mocked this up real quick for the photo...yes I know the oil line is disconnected and yes, its dirty and needs to be cleaned for final assembly...

Even without the washer it's too short.
Anyone know if that stud screws into the case, and could therefore be replaced?

I have this exact set up on every one of my tube frame Buells (6), everyone of them has the same pulley cover from Crossroads and this swing-arm brace/pulley guard, without any issue. When tightened the nut fits just shy of flush with the stud, but I had to skip the thick stock washer when I used this combination to clear the button head cap screws holding the center disc on.
could be a mfg anomaly when you motor was assembled, or someone has had that out and re-installed on your bike??? |

you could try a lower profile locking nut from mcmaster or equivalent..??? if you don't want to dig into sorting why the stud is short..er.... |

Yes it threads into the case and it's probably very tight or is installed with thread locker.
Had to clamp it in a vice and heated the case with a paint stripper heat gun before it let go! |

It is threaded in and on mine the original lock nut was so tight it pulled the whole stud and it was not hard. If I am correct it is possible to thread it to far in as there is no bottom to the hole. |

According to measurements, a thin nylock should fit.
So I've ordered some fro McMaster Carr.
That should be the easiest if it works. |
