I was getting ready to start reassembling my trees to the headtube and noticed these two pieces of tubing welded to the headtube on my 97 M2? Anyone know what they are used for? My guess would be that the frame (or at least headtube) was shared with the S2, S3 models and was used to mount the fairing? Maybe? (ok, looks like I dont know how to link a pic) http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss111/34ninetee n/Untitled_zpsfuogpzz0.jpg (Message edited by 34nineteen on January 27, 2016) |

It a fairing mount. I've seen people install S3 fairings on M2 using it. |

s-3 fairing definitely the way to go for less freeway windblast on an M2. Hardest thing about conversion is matching the paint. Must use plastic primer. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i258/gerardwing/ Buell063015_zpszogzfjos.jpg |
