Purchased a pair of pitbull stands from AL. Can't seem to get the front unit to engage. The pin is angled. Should the pin be angled toward the center of the bike (motor) or back away from the motor? With way seem to have challenges. Regards |

Set the stand up next to the bike. Take the pin out. Put the pin in the tree and spin it to see which way matches the angle of the stand. |

Mine angles toward the front of the bike when I start to position the stand. Check to make sure the pin size is correct. Is it possible your triple clamps have ever been changed? It could have a different size pin than stock size. And make sure no debris inside the clamp. |

The pins are different sizes and angles. I got several pins from Al, the "tuber" one fits snug in an S2, can't remember if I tried Dan's X1.. |

I had to take a small file to my tree on the S2. Just a bit of corrosion and dirt. |

Tried it on the X1 and good snug fit, #7 angled pin, 0.547". I also got two others, #2 & #3. #2 is straight, 3 is angled, 0.620 that were supposed to be for the 1125 and 1190... too small for my taste, I made a new pin a shade under 3/4" @ 0.710". Max size the lift will handle is 0.750, so I made a collar from a 3/4" axle spacer to keep the bike from jamming into the top of he lift. Works great, only issue is I have to remove the front fender.
