Curious about the swingarm deal on the tubers. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong. From what I understand, the steel tubular swingarm on the bikes were all recalled. My bike came with the steel swingarm, and a search of HD's recall page with my VIN, shows that the swingarm recall applies to my bike, but was never done. However, all the other recalls were done. Also, I see a bunch of pics of other tubers and they are still sporting the steel swingarm. Some of these pics appear to be fairly recent, and I'd assume that most people would have wanted to have this recall done as a broken swingarm could be a real let down. Am I missing something? |

You my friend are patially correct. The first gen steel swing arm was recalled. All others are good. Other members could be more specific. |

They were replaced with similar stronger steel swing arms. Personally I prefer the look compared to the aluminum later ones. |

Is there any way to visually tell the difference between the "stronger steel swingarm" from the one being recalled? |
