the end cap screws on my SS2R for my M2 have frozen and I stripped them trying to loosen them (going to repack the muffler) any suggestions to fix? drill them out? they are pretty small so not sure if I can extract them. |

I had the same issue and used vice grips on one after a liquid wrench soaking. Another one had to be drilled out since the vice grips tore the head off. Too bad my baffle is broken as I cannot seem to find another one. |

I think I read someone took an auto glass pack and used the baffle out of it to make one for a V&H? |

I have a Supertrap with the same problem. Can't really get much penetration for WD40 so I think I'll buy a gallon of diesel and stick the whole thing in a bucket to soak. |

I read that the best penetrating oil is a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone. |

"depending on what bike you have, motorcycle super store is closing out the baffles for cyclones" There is more than one model of SS2R? Mine is on an S3T. Bluebueller: Any luck? |

Used a Grab It #2 and successfully removed two of the screws. the third one it just popped the head off of the screw, so I attempted number 4, and I must have had the drill set too fast. just about full depth and it sparked and the head of the Grab It fused to the screw - now I have just tac welded really hard steel into a really soft screw.... At least I'm half way there. |

I've worked on mine enough that it's about headed for the scrap pile. I welded the end cap on for the duration of 2015. |

I tried cracking the screws on my V&H muffler for repacking. I could tell on the very first one, that it was there to stay. So I am still running as is. LOUD!! But I like that!! |

This is exactly why I haven't tried to take mine apart to repack it. If I do happen to get it apart and anything is broken or damaged, I will be screwed and it will just sit. I can at least ride it as is but damn that thing it loud and resonates in my helmet. |
