Mine arrived today. It would be nice if there was an Allen wrench in the kit. I can imagine what it is going to like trying to find one that tiny. Anyone know the size? KennyG |

Here is a list of the tools you'll need. 1/2 inch drill bit 1/16 inch drill bit (pilot) 5/64 inch drill bit 5/64 inch allen Small chisel (optional) File or razor (to clean things up) Sorry Kenny, I would have loved to include the more obscure tools in every order but it just didn't seem practical. I hope this list helps. (Message edited by matrim on August 15, 2013) |

Kevin, Please don't take offense about the Allen wrench, but you can buy the 5/64 size at an industrial supply company for 15 cents each. If I can't find one in my toolbox I have a good 45 minute round trip to get one. I certainly appreciate the tool list and I know I have everything, except maybe the Allen wrench. I am going to use a brad point drill for the half inch hole, as a brad point bit does not walk. You did a good job on an idea you developed and I really appreciate it. KennyG |

I installed the kit this weekend, very straightforward and works really well! Thanks for doing this for us. I didn't have trouble with my cap yet but I still did it as prevention. |

Dude, you are a life saver having this part made. I bought it from you awhile back but had not taken the time to install it, like a jackass! Sure enough, my cap spun and I couldn't get it off at the gas station. Luckily I wasn't on reserve and made it home. I had to take out all of the allen screws and pull the whole assembly off to get the cap off. But thanks to you, I already have the fix. It is worth its weight in gold. Anyone who doesn't get one of these for every cap they own is a fool. |
