I don't know how to remove paint but try the googlesearch at the top, not the one that just says "search". |

Soda blaster. As in baking soda, compressed air fed into a tank. |

On some plastics it works perfect with brake fluid. Used it on some guzzi v50 side covers to remove the army green. |

I would think any fiberglass safe paint stripper would work. |

Paint stripper with methylene chloride (i.e the good stuff that actually strips paint) can melt plastic, or at least degrade it. On the other hand, I've successfully used it to remove paint from plastic parts without damaging the underlying plastic. Just apply it and let it peel the paint off. Make sure you only apply it to the paint itself and avoid getting it on the underlying plastic. Then quickly remove the bubbled up paint and any residue that got on the plastic with soap and water. As long as you promptly remove it after it's done its business, it shouldn't damage the plastic. Just use common sense. |

Ok what is the reason to remove the paint? I only ask because if the paint is structurally sound and just scratched chiped etc it is better to scuff it and use it as the base. Otherwise be carfull with it I would use the least agressive and go little by little |

Thanks Guys, At the very least I need to get the decals off and make the surface level. I just thought some of the strippers used would not harm the part, Have a guy to do the paint and prep is a huge part of the cost. Just need to get the tail section and fairing done and all is good to go. |
