I read that the ECM change on the X1 in 2000. Was this to cure early stumbling problems on X1's? Is this a recall item on earlier X1's? If it does cure stumbling problems and is not a recall, can it be simply upgraded on older bikes? Thanks for all the information. |

If true, it should be just a matter of plugging in a new one and getting the TPS reset. |

This was supposed to just be a fix. You can take your 99 ecm to your local harley stealer and they can install the newer code into it and make it work as designed. This might be cheaper, but if you were going to do that, you might as well look for a race ecm and do that swap. |

i agree w/ blue. My bike caughed a little and i have a 2002, but since i got the Race Ecm it has ran like a champ... But they are EXTREMLY hard to come across. and i have heard of a couple duds out there, so watch out. |

that could be a couple little things, maybe you need a quick TPS reset... could be bad plugs.... or it just might be the FI itself, there are still a couple little bugs in the X-1's. Mine pops very rarely but it does pop... scares the CRAP out of me sometimes... but nothing major. |

I have already replaced the plugs, and im getting ready to order new wires and a coil. Is there an article anywhere on how to reset the TPS? |

I've heard of home brew TPS resets, but the best is to get it on a Scanalyzer at your local harley stealer and have them reset it to the specs. |

Any idea on how high the stealer is going to rape me on this deal? |
