I like the look of the X1 chin spoilers. Is it straight forward to install one on a Cyclone?

todd -- yessir, it is -- lot's of folks have done just that -- if memory serves, you'll need a spacer for your shiuft linkage along with the chin wiskers, er, spoiler and it's allied mounting hardware

todd,

go to a dealer and look at the exploded view for the chin fairing. from them, you will need the front mounting bracket, the shifter spacers, and three more spacers, one for next to the shifter on the primary, two on the other side. then get the bolt lengths, as you will need to replace all four bolts with longer ones. buy the bolts at a hardware store to save money, buy the spacers and the bracket from the dealer. if you buy the spoiler from the dealer, they will sell you a kit with all you need to go with it, if you dont, you have to buy the stuff separately. you can save money buying a used one, but the clean way to do it is with a new one and the kit. the difference is about a hundred bucks, give or take, depending on how you do buying a used one. if you need any more info, ping me, i just put one on this spring. i love the look, but it is a pain to keep clean.

Ken

also, keep in mind, you might develop a leak on the primary when you take the bolts out and put new ones back in, so if you are due to look at your tensioner or for a gearlube change, it might behoove you to do all of that as well, and get a new primary gasket. also, do not forget locktite, especially on the shifter bolt.
