My bike is not original, before everyone starts freaking out its got an xb wheel conversion, and im in the process of powder/painting everything including the frame and wheels once i pick a color and have all the pieces. my factory tail is all cracked up and down the sides... i dont think its repairable, it will just crack again. also my seat is just done. needs refinishing or replacement. the tip of the crotch killer is all ripped up from getting dry.... here is what im looking for something available (duh) single seat the more aggressive the look the better ability to use my stock tail light would be nice comes with seat or uses stock seat |

Might I suggest this look? It's all the rage these days and I think meets the definition of "aggressive."

Well that hurts, my bike is still in the process of getting the rear section hammered out. Color of speed has a really nice rear section that requires minor modification and is very tastefully done....that is if price isn't an option. Its about $700. |

I have a ducatti 999 seat, fairing and monoposto subframe (alum) that I ended up not using. I was going to mimic the black S1 shown in the picture above, but changed my mind. If interested, I can email pics. |

does anyone have an experience with the airtech GP tail? does it use to stock tail light? is it easy to take on/off? i.e could I hide my battery in the tail? |

As far as A new tail there is not much out there to shoose from. I would research fibserglass seat pans cafe racer seats etc on the tube use your seat pan and make something you like! |

No info on here on the GP tail? Im highly considering getting one and either reconditioning my seat or getting a good used one. Giovanni, I'll probably take u up on that manta. do you have any interest in my small tank? if not maybe ill keep it, maybe ill ebay it. i'll probably keep it. Are those the fiberglass types or are they plastic + cover? ive never seen one in person, buells are rare! there are 2 or 3 X1's and 1 S1 in my area, that's it! |

actually the more I look at the GP tail the more I don't like it, at least not without the rest of the fairings. looks good from a side profile, other views, its just FAT and makes the rest of the bike look small. Way out of proportion. back to square 1 |

The airtech is the best bang for your buck and uses stock lights |

Considering building my own. I saw a thread a while back. This guy was using that expanding insulation foam used in homes. Wrapped the original equipment up in plastic wrap, then went to town spraying this foam onto the plastic wrap. when it hardened, he cut it with a big bread knife, then shaved it to form the perfect shape, then fiber glassed over it. seemed pretty straight forward...? In my mind im picturing a café style box tail with the stock tail light flush mounted in the back |

Ken, im really liking the bike in the top pic, except with a different headlight (vrod?) even with the stock tail, that thing is clean looking, and I want to do the grip fairings too. |

Its a great bike fellow badwebber Rick-a Vrod light and hand gaurds would be a good look. Dont under estimate how hard fiberglass is to do. it is easier for me to make a sheet metal tail then fiberglass. Many people have success with it. |

Its nt too hard to make a tail if you have the time and patience. You can find step by step instructions on about any cafe racer forum. |

Heee nice, Technoflex suspension. I still have mine and need to fill the reservoir with N2. Maybe this winter i will install together with my RAM single side swingarm that is collecting dust for years. I bought it from Pete when he was funding his Paris dakar race. Regards, danny |
