I sold the red set I was holding for myself to the first guy that got a hold of me about a set, so I don't have any red ones left.
I do have blue emblem bags left though if you are interested in a set of those.
I could do another order but I probably need to have at least 5 before I could make a new order work out....

I received your PM, and replied, however I just want to be sure that you know that these will only fit an S2, the S2 and S3 fairing stays are completely different and these are designed to fit the S2, your PM said you were looking for a set for an S3?
oddly enough....(rabbit hole)
I did work with the same company and made a one off set of bags for my S3 with emblems that matched the orange frame (photo sent) that if there was enough interest I would be willing to try and do a run of bags for the S3.
sooooo.... to get to the point. do you need bags for an S2 or S3?
I have bags ready to ship for an S2...

Thanks Jolly. Yes, I need them for an S3 (1998 to be exact). I have the left one, not the right. I actually just received the bike yesterday, so I'm still pretty wet behind the ears as a Buell owner. I have a parts manual and service manual on the way. So, I should soon be able to ask more informed questions in the future.
If you're able to get a set made (for an S3), I would certainly be interested in buying them.
Thanks for the clarification on fitment. That will help my search.

Hi Jolly, would you be willing to put me in touch with the company that made your (S2) bags? I was able to source a NOS right bag and I now have a complete set. However, I wouldn't mind having a spare set.

Rather than starting a new thread I figure its better reviving an old thread because this looks spot on topic.
I need to locate a set of fairing bags for my S3. Mine were faded when I got the bike, but now the stitching has failed on one. Jolly put a LOT of time into getting some S2 bags done in bulk. Reading the thread it looks like the S3 sets were done one at a time. Was any effort done for the S3 bags in a quantity order? If not, would there be any interest? I don't expect Jolly to do the legwork, but I'm hoping he can share the contacts he developed so others don't have to start from scratch. |

while flying in the USAF I traveled the world... and a few places we went had markets established to make almost anything for the servicemen traveling through. I had leather jackets and a few other things made at just such a shop in Turkey. When I needed a set of bags for my S3 I reached out to those guys and had ONE set made, it had orange emblems to go with my orange frame. This was a one of one set, no orders taken.
Later I needed S2 bags and looked into a group buy. And worked with the same company. |
