I was curious if other bodywork (S1/M2) would fit the S3 without much modification Just got some ideas in my head and wondering if I could fit something else on there for a short bit |

Late M2 should...or at least, be pretty darn close. |

S1 bodywork is the most difficult to fit because you not only have to address the length but the S1 tail also has a steeper angle to it. Other option I have seen is to mount a seat and separate tail light without the bodywork. |

I bought a spare S3 tail section and trimmed it from the front lower point back up to the top edge of the stock tail light opening. Used an X1 tail light. No frame modifications required. You can see it in my profile picture. (Message edited by newmans3 on May 28, 2015) |

Newman - I like that! I actually have a S3 tail thats busted some, so that would work well I just think it'd be hard to get them perfectly done/even! |

Thanks, I taped my cutting line on one side. Carefully cut it with a dremel cut off wheel. Used the cut off scrap peice as a template for the other side. It ended up pretty even. I suck at painting, so that part was worse for me. I will have it repainted to match this winter, good enough for now. |

Side view. you see a bit of the frame, but I'm okay with that.

well Ive already extended my subframe by 6" (its a dragbike, had to extend it or the wheel wouldnt fit with it lowered so much and the swingarm extended 6) I like what youve done...a lot! Its giving me a lot to think about |
