Does anybody have a good source for a trap door for an 01 x1 lightning. One of the bolt holes on mine is cracked. Harley doesn't seem to be making them anymore. I don't really want to pony up the 300 bucks for the billet one from amercan sportbike unless it is a last resort.

It's the same as a '91-'03 Sportster.

The local harley shop told me they don't make the oem anymore for the sportster. Is this true? They couldn't find it with their parts finder.

Probably, the last one to use that part went off the assembly line over 12 years ago. That said, you can still find them on eBay and elsewhere. I've sold complete transmissions for less than $300.
