Greetings Bueller's! I haven't been around here much over the past several years.I have a 2000 Cyclone that I bought new. Neutral light on the dash is not working. When I find Neutral (Which is not easy) I cannot let out the clutch or the bike will die. I like to warm the bike up before a ride but at the moment it's not possible.Well, its possible since I bypassed the neutral safety switch. That said I want to get it back to how it was when I first got it. Also, it seems my Stator took a shit as well. Most likely I will be picking your brains on the Stator issue when the time comes. This bike hasn't been on the road since about 2010. It will be on the road in 2015 come Hell or high water! Thank you....

Hey, I looked at the schematic and read the troubleshooting guide. It is either the neutral switch, or the a diode up by the control relays, or a loose connection.
To check the switch, remove the wire and short it to a good ground, the light should come on, if it does the switch is stuck or bad. The switch is located under the drive pulley on right hand side of engine, the big nut on the pulley has left hand threads... hope this helps, I need to head to work. Maybe someone else will chime in or I will try and get more info to you tonight. Good Luck.

The thing is when it is idling in Neutral and I let the clutch out the bike dies. As Imadog mentioned it could be the neutral safety switch. IDK. We shall see very soon when I find time to to work on this thing.

Don't know if you ever got the neutral switch to work, but I found a thread, that says the switch can be removed without pulling the pulley. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/693199.html?1353965933
