Any tube frame Buell engine or 1994-2003 Sportster motor will fit. Best is one of the latest build tube frame engines. But maybe you rebuild yours for a similar price. Would be better than new,if done correct. | ||

I think im going to do a new swap. I had a shop look @ it they said, the heads had SO MUCH metal in the topend, the bottomend is more than likely be toast also! | ||

As I remember it, the rear 4 bolt holes are different diameters on Sportsters and Buells. I think the Buells were larger. At least on one aftermarket frame. | ||

No,rear bolt pattern,respectively the hole engine case is the same on tubers and rigid mounted Sportsters 1994-2003. The only difference is the upper front mount,that to say the head mount. But there adapters available,or you can modify the existing mount.Instead of stud bolts on the Sportster,you have to use hex screws. I put a tuber engine in a Sportster frame some years ago and that was the only difference. (Message edited by Xldevil on March 13, 2015) |
