Has anyone had any luck with aftermarket mirrors on their Lightning? i have a set of mirrors just like these on my bike and they are horrible. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/45427/i/bikem aster-formula-mirrors Within one minute they will vibrate around and be useless. After a little while the plastic breaks where you tighten the pivot down and then there is zero chance of keeping them angled anywhere near a usable direction. What is everyone else using? |

Aprilia Tuono mirrors look great, are not too expensive and stay where you put them. |

Bar end mirrors work pretty well. My friend installed a pair on his XB12S and it looked pretty cool. |

Bar end mirrors are better (less vibes) than the stock ones. |

I picked up a pair of these because I dislike the convex bar end mirrors mine had - low vibe and clear, but too hard to judge how close traffic was. EMGO UNIVERSAL FIT 10" LONG STEM MOTORCYCLE MIRROR ROUND BLACK 10MM THREAD http://www.ebay.com/itm/151352727236?_trksid=p2059 210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT More than nicely priced (note tho that the auction is for one - not in pairs. They're all the same - you just rotate and aim the mirror one way or the other). They vibrate thru a portion of the rev range like you'd expect, but they are stiff and light weight and stand up to it so far. I wanted a stock look and much prefered the at a glance positioning... |
