Howdy gang. Long time no post. Long story short, I'm going to be moving to California from Florida in a few months (assuming everything goes right and I get accepted into Grad school) So I'm unloading all my saved up knick Knacks and collections, to help fund the journey (as well as just get rid of my amount of things) After shipping out all my shop and necessities out there, I'm planning on selling my 4 bikes, and buying a CBR1000rr , and doing a month long road trip to the West... I'm excited to say the least. I have a few various things left over... None are worth a huge amount of money, but I figure someone would want them. Mostly I'm trying to pass off my Single Sided Swing arm project. Its a Ducati 996 swing arm that I had machined down with my own pivot point. It needs to be welded (as I no longer have a buell to fit it onto) The machining is done correctly so all you have to do is plop it into the slot and weld it. Left - right center spacing is the only aligning that need be done. Then you Fit on a belt pulley or use a chain sprocket. Comes with a spare swing arm/engine block mount for fitment. Then just buy ducati wheel of your choice. $160 (I have about $600 into it) S1 Oil Tank. Someone has to want a spare? $20 obo? S1 Speedometer $60 obo? XB Turn Signals - pair $20 I'll post pictures, and update as I find more stuff. I didn't really want to post this in the for sale section, as I'd also love to hear comments/suggestions on the Trip I should take! |

First of all, congrats on the upcoming move! I just moved to Colorado last week from Texas. I would love to see your swingarm project and would love to buy it if I can come up with the funds. Can you send me some pics? phelan_z06@hotmail.com |

Good luck with the move. I am planning one in a few months from Ohio to south Carolina. I don't have the money for the swing arm but I'm interested what it looks like. Can you also send me pics? Buellx199@yahoo.com. |

Well Rocket, I've offered it up for sale a few times, and pretty much everyone seemed confused or intimidated by the project. Which, no doubt it is a decent undertaking, but most of the hard machining is done. If someone wants to pay more, I'll gladdly take the extra money... but I'd rather it go to a good home where it will get finished. haha. Phelan has the Dibs. But phelan, if you can, post up the pictures so the people can see how it was done. I cant seem to upload them. Also, The speedometer has 24,000 miles on it, if anyone is interested. Someone give me an offer on this and the Oil Bag so it doesn't get thrown away. Found my ISO stiffener's. $60. Loved these, really made the bike transfer torque on the bottom end. Like hardcore. For those who don't know. These are aluminum inserts that go inside the rear isolator outer bore. Comes with the correct new bolts. |

Yes, they are the tinted set. Somewhat like an internal Double Bubble round tint type thing. |

No prob. I'm just waiting on PayPal's 2 tiny change deposits so I can verify our new bank account and then I'll send the funds . I got excited when I saw those stiffeners in the ISOs in the pics. But alas, no harm no foul . |

Just out of curiosity it looks like the swingarm is wider than the mount block, or are there more pieces that go on the swingarm pivot? |

I came across the RAM setup in France a long time ago.
Mark in Ireland bought it (he's not been here in a long time). Here's his finished S1.

Last time I looked into that RAM Italia swingarm, they wanted some rediculous number for it like $9,000. |

Indeed. Before I started this, I had called them. They said they were out of production but for just under 10k they would bring out the castings. |

I don't remember the exact story behind the one Mark bought. It wasn't direct from RAM, so was secondhand. Not sure if used though. It might have been a pre production one and needed some modification to complete. I do remember it used some Ducati hardware which is obvious from the pics. I'm sure Mark had complications finishing the install, but he got it done. Not spoke to him in a couple or three years so I've no idea if he still has the Buell. I've no reason to believe he wouldn't. He's not one for parting with 'special' machines. I should call him sometime. Rocket in England |

Is that a Viggen behind the S1? |

Is that a Viggen behind the S1? Good spot Bill, and strange as it is, it does appear to look like a GM900 / 9-3 but it's actually a classic 900 Carlsson. Don't know if the U.S. got these? After posting this morning, and it so long since we spoke, I was inspired to call Mark. He tells me he's using his S1 to commute to work. He's also a Saab nut. We've had a good few dealings over the BadWeB years (I met Mark through BadWeB). He has a 9000 2.3 turbo which he's owned for several years now. It's a car in regular use but it's also his track day weapon. Or is that toy or just money pit lol. He's done stuff to it, and spent a bomb on it, you wouldn't believe. Today he told me he's running something like 520 bhp and he's had it GPS checked at 175mph. I'd have bought a Maserati myself Rocket in England |
