While rolling my cyclone out of the garage recently, I heard what sounded like something floating inside, knocking/bobbing against the side of the primary cover. The bike had been running normally, no change in shifting noticed. I removed the primary cover this weekend but found nothing immediately noticeable. My two questions: 1 - Could the chain tensioner shoe have been slopping laterally, side-to-side, to knock up against the inside of the primary cover? It seemed to wiggle a bit once I opened everything up. Besides some gauging from the primary chain, the shoe looks to be in fine shape. I do have the newer one laying around and will likely install that when I put everything back together again. 2 - Is there anything else to look for? I'll likely try to remove the primary to inspect the detent ring just since I'm in there. Am considering the Baker shift barrel, again, since I'm in there. Thanks for any suggestions/advice. |

The primary cover is already off, just looking for some insight as to anything else to be looking for now that I'm in there. Would certainly like your advice on primary chain adjustment for when everything gets put back together however; PM incoming! |
