Gives you inverted forks. In my case, it took my M2L to normal height. S2 Roma forks are some of the best, most-adjustable available from that time period. But has one millimeter less travel, and is harder to replace the seals on (subjective.) Comfy...but at 6'4" with 34" legs, it scrunches my boys into the tank. On the original topic, I really like the X1 forks on my M2, added race springs and rebuilt with a more specific valving for sporty riding and they are great. Since the forks I got only had the lower triple I had the upper M2 clamp machined to the proper size. Casting seemed to be the same, it (upper triple) has been fine since modified in 2003.   Xldevil Posted on Friday, March 13, 2015 - 09:26 am:        I milled out the triple trees of my M2 to put a S3 fork in it. That was the only issue.
