Will the front end of a x1 work on a m2 if so any advantage ? If I could put on my s2 would love to go to normal bars. |

X1 forks/trees/fender/headlight mounts bolt right to the frame of an M2. Gives you inverted forks. In my case, it took my M2L to normal height.
S2 Roma forks are some of the best, most-adjustable available from that time period. If you swap them...contact me and I'll buy yours from you as spares for my S2. |

It should be noted also though that the WP ROMAS from the S2s are about 2" longer than X1 or S1 forks due to the clip ons. |

The upside-down forks have has compression damping adjustment, is stronger, has lighter unsprung weight, and looks 'cooler'. But has one millimeter less travel, and is harder to replace the seals on (subjective.) If you have an M2 I'd say keep the clip-ons on the S2! |

Looks like a Buell Pegasus seat. |

I'm looking for a new seat. Sorry OP for deterring. I am close to having everything for my XB front-end (suspension, brakes, rims, clip-ons, etc.) and rear rim conversion to the M2. Just waiting on a few last things. The main reason I went to inverted forks, is the looks. They look a lot better IMO! |

Yes, it is a Buell pegasus seat - the "factory touring" accessory seat. Comfy...but at 6'4" with 34" legs, it scrunches my boys into the tank. I need a solo seat, for a standard M2 tail section LOL |

If you search for 651lance on eBay, he has the trees and legs that you need. Brand new left over from the assembly line. |

Weren't the seats with the pegasus stitching called "Buell Select" seats? On the original topic, I really like the X1 forks on my M2, added race springs and rebuilt with a more specific valving for sporty riding and they are great. Since the forks I got only had the lower triple I had the upper M2 clamp machined to the proper size. Casting seemed to be the same, it (upper triple) has been fine since modified in 2003. |

I milled out the triple trees of my M2 to put a S3 fork in it. That was the only issue.
