Dunno if anyone else has come across this or not, but my swingarm rubbed my hose raw on the drive side to the point it started leaking. I went to O'Reilly and bought some new hose and clamps to replace it, but something worth checking if you have a high-mileage S2. Mine has 48,000 on the clock. I have an s1 and the rear rotor actually rotated pulling the rear brake line tight against the tire. I caught it before it leaked but the rear line is toast. I ordered a replacement from Harley, it doesn't fit and they won't return it! How did you repair your line? The bike is out of commission until I get it fixed. | ||

My problem wasn't the steel line, but the rubber hose to the reservoir. Sorry I can't help you about your line problem but I'm sure someone else will chime in with help. | ||

replace it with braided flex line. | ||

Check the routing..Theres supposed to be a P clamp utilized with a master cylinder mounting bolt to hold it to clear the swingarm. | ||

Thanks Hank, mine does have the P clamp, but maybe it was facing the wrong direction? Not sure. When I replaced the line I put the P clamp the opposite direction, further from the swingarm. |
