Folks I am in need of a couple of the rubber wellnuts used to secure the 4 phillips screws that hold the tail section to the frame on my S3. Buell part # 59736-94Y. Any suggestions as to a source? Thanks Tim in Fairfax,VA 98 Buell S3T |

That's great if you have one near by that doesn't look at you like you're a diseased rat when you ask for a Buell part. I'd just rather patron outfits that at least pretend to give two shits about me when I walk in the door. It's like they can smell the Buell on me. Or at least, they can't smell the Harley on me, and that raises their hackles. |

>>>>That's great if you have one near by that doesn't look at you like you're a diseased rat when you ask for a Buell part. If you need to have that conversation with them about a NUT . . . I mean it is not a "Buell" part . . . then knock yourself out. For $0.60 . . . I'd order a handful (I have a couple boxes here) online and save my venom for something more material than $0.60. http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Bolt-Aluminum-Windscreen-Screw/dp/B000WKJHCA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=0682C4850SYFNKAFS9SY

...you can also get the knurled nuts that hold saddlebag lid cables in place, in Lowe's hardware aisle. They're chandelier fixture nuts. I do agree with Court, though...but quite often you'll find nondescript hardware like these items...in a hardware store. Buell engineers were smart enough not to reinvent the wheel when they didn't have to. |
