I am trying to think of a list of parts that are harder to install than the god-damned recall muffler strap (rear mount) that ships with the y-bracket front muffler mount kit - the one that everyone with an aftermarket muffler throws away. It's only two bolts, and they are easily accessible...right? Unbe-freaking-lievable what a cosmic pain in the ass to get all at the various holes to line up correctly and not load stress into the exhaust. Sorry...just venting...thought y'all would sympathize...back out to the garage now...will stop for coffee on the way.... |

Bolts go in one way but not the other. Hole size is different. |

I've always found, every time I disturb mine, it goes back to where it should sit naturally. Lucky for me perhaps, but that place requires I space the rear bracket with a washer between the bracket and the mounting boss, on both tags of the bracket. It's only a mm or two out if I don't use these two crucial washers, but it has caused issues in the past before I spaced it. Rocket in England |
