Anybody thought of molding the windshield in fiberglass into the fairing? I never look behind the windshield, and find myself wishing it was paintable. What do you guys think? |

I actually just popped a fiberglass plug out of the windscreen for the fairing I *was* going to use for Gloria... I wasn't planning on running an opaque windscreen - I was just making a plug that I could use in a vacuum former....but yes, the thought did occur to me... Personally I would make it separate from the fairing - that way you aren't doing a permanent number on one of the stock fairings... |

I had a painted screen on my RS, which had S2 bodywork on it. It was not glassed into the fairing but looked pretty good. The guy that built the bike originally just had the screen painted along with the other parts and it installed with stock screws. Click on my profile - picture is still there. I haven't edited it even though that bike is long gone and I'm 'between' Buells currently. |

One guy this weekend, took his screen, painted it from behind, then gold color next, then black as the last coat. the color shows from the back of the screen. Looks good. the gold hides the black and lets the color stand out. The black on the inside really helps you to see the dash better.... |
