My wife has been wanting to ride with me on the weekends. both of us combined weigh in close to 360 lbs. The goal is to be able to take rides that last say 5-6 hours total round trip. I was thinking I can pickup a M2 pretty cheap and beef up the suspension some and get a corbin seat or just get a Ulysses XT. My inseam is about 30" I have one M2 now that I want to keep the setup the way it is. So I know these bikes already. |

My wife and I are near identical to you weight-wise. I find the M2 difficult to handle with the Mrs on the back, but I do it anyway because WE wanted a Buell ; ) |

You can put the s3t shock on the m2 and that will shift the range of the preload up. However, it won't be good solo if your less than 180 lbs. The corbin for the m2 is very nice. The handling is great with the proper preload in the back just have to remember its harder to stop and not to knock her off the back. Its much easier to change the preload on the uly if you switch between two up and solo often. With all that said I,ve not ridden the uly. |

I've owned both and ridden both two up. The Uly is awfully comfortable for a passenger even with luggage. Go with a Uly. |

I have both, and for two up riding the Uly is hands down the best option. I've got a Corbin Gunfighter & Lady with backrest on the M2, and it does OK for short rides (not great, but OK). All day long 2 up rides are super comfortable on the Ulysses. |

Thanks Guys, The Uly is probably the way to as it was engineered to be. Have excuse now to add a third Buell. |

Uly. I own a number of Buells. I've even done a track day (HC'08) 2-up on an S2. Best 2-up Buell, hands down? The Uly. Don't get me wrong - the M2 is a great bike. Love that seat. But it's just not set up for long 2-up, heavily loaded rides like the Uly is. Get an XT, try the balance before you muck with the suspension. I'm willing to bet you're fine doing a tripod at a stop sign. They're extremely well-balanced. |
