Hey guys, looking for a quick answer. I have a 1997 S3. It appears my ignition switch is the root of some of my issues on my bike. I just need to know, when buying a replacement do i need a two wire switch or a three wire switch? Any specific one you guys recommend? Thanks. |

Pretty sure its three wire. One live in and two hot out. The second hot is for the headlight, so you can run (or start) without. I just spliced the two together to ensure I don't accidently go out without the headlight on. I've also taken the plug off a broken ignition switch and spliced all the wires together. Its in my pocket so when another switch fails, I just plug in my "hotwire device." |

What he said...Check with Al at American Sport Bike first. His price is very good. I think it was <$25. |
