Looks like it is coming together. It does look like the riding position is moved to the rear quite a bit. Is it stretching you out to reach the bars? I do hope it works out in the end. |

I have Convertible Bars so I was able to move them back 3" and lower them by the same amount so the position is still comfortable. Also, because I loweres the seat by 3" I purchased lowering footpegs that drop 2". So far its working pretty well. I am already designing seat version 2.0. The current seat is for two people. My solo will be much smaller and contour to the tank more. |

It won't handle anywhere near as good as it should if you're moving your bodyweight back that far. Will definitely be susceptible to possible headshake and tank slapping at high speed.

If you are comfortable riding it, I say good job. If not, you could always use it as an ironing board. |

Lol the seat didnt exactly come out how I intended but I wanted something that would fit two people. As you can tell the seat is more function over form.
Version 2.0 will be contoured to the tank and swoop upward and end parallel to the rear axle. Only for solo rides. |

Shifting weight rearward is a dumb idea. More so on such a steep raked machine.

that looks like a long reach to the bars. and the area from the seat to the tank looks a little off. but for what you were going for i guess it came out good. |

I thought you were going through all those changes because you were too short to handle the stock seat? That seat looks higher than what you had when you started. |

Nope, the seat is lowered by 3" and narrowed at the front. I can finally flat foot the bike!!! I do need to work on a new design to have better integration of the seat. But I just want to ride now. |

To offer an opinion I need better pics.
I must say I am intrigued by a better view on the naked rear end of an S1. There might just be something 'different' I see potential in here. Not wanting to sound pompous when saying so, but I am of the opinion S1's have such a stylish seat design I instantly think 'why would you'. So yes, your pic intrigues me I want more

I have to take pictures. The frame needs to be powder coated over the winter. I designed the seat to accent the rest of the tube frame and to continue the minimalist design. It draws a lot of attention, some good and some bad. The most important aspect is that I can finally put both feet flat on the ground. |

Just don't ride that way,
My pet peeve (well, one of many) is guys dragging their feet at an intersection or when going slow. Worst when it is a fat boy on a Fat Boy, wearing Jorts and sandals. |
