Im not new to riding but I am new to Buell and I recently lucked out on a 2000 M2! Im super stoked but am having the same issue that was discussed here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/713368.html?1369839852 aaaand I've come to understand the belt tension issue and the missing seal issue. I also have come to the realization that pulling the trans from the clutch side is a must for replacing this bearing...
gonna need to replace the sprocket...maybe change to a 30 tooth?
can anyone do me a solid and help me out with some service manual diagrams of what I'm about to get into? Yes! I know i need to own the service manual and will once i can shell out more of that stuff...money? I think is what its called? Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!...because this is the wrong way to do it!

If you are still trying to press out the 5th gear drive assembly, some of the pictures and discussion here might help... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=3842&post=198002#POST198002 |

Soooo, now im looking for the main shaft oil seal (PN 12030 i think?) and a new front pulley to purchase. so far no luck searching for the seal and the only pulleys i've found seem way over priced---- $200 range. and i was thinking of changing to a 29 or 30 tooth. any advice? |

THIS WHY "i" RECOMMEND GETTING A PARTS BOOK FOR YOUR YEAR/MODEL BUELL as FACTORY SERVICE MANUALS only have FACTORY TOOL Part Numbers !!! Th e PART NUMBERS in question are: OIL SEAL(gear asm.,fifth-mainshaft)PN 12030 ... SPROCKET,transmission-27 tooth PN 40288-95 Years back "i" bought one new(27)}for $54.55 plus tax ... SPROCKET,transmission-29 tooth PN 40205-95 "i" only ran the 27 tooth for a short time as the RPM's went up and th gas mileage went down so the 29 tooth went back on !!! |

Everybody get hard copies(FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL/PARTS BOOK FOR YEAR/MODEL) as soon as possible because TUBE FRAMES have been out of production since 2002 and XB's since 2009 !!! They are going to be hard to find and price'ie !!! |
