i was going to get one recently for the Uly, and the salesperson recommended against it, unless i was racing. you need a special charger, most conditioning chargers will kill them. i opted for a standard battery. |

I bought a Ballistic for my FatBoy. The reason I bought it is because with the modifications on the bike, a lot of wiring is hidden under the seat and I need the smallest battery I can buy. I didn't buy the special charger because they only "recommended" it. It worked well last year and seems to not work as well this year. I kinda regret it, if I could find a regular battery which is the same size, I'd change it. The difference in size is considerable, this is beside my other FatBoy battery, which was already smaller than standard size. It does give me tons of spare space under the seat.

I've got a shorai in my bandit, worked fine for 2 years...I don't charge it in the off season, just take it out and put it on the shelf. It is supposed to hold a charge for a couple years. i've let it go in the bike for a month without use and it was just fine. |
