So my Injectors on my X1 are done. Ordering from Harley is going to take wayyy too long. I have done my research and want to know if anyone else is running non Harley/Buell injectors. This is what I have discovered. Please correct me if I am wrong. 2003 XB injectors are the same as the F.I Tubers Part number #29533-99y - supercede to P0786.02A8 @3 bar fuel pressure flow is 295cc/minute (28lbs/hour) Looking at automotive suggestions like chrystler pt cruiser or "older Ford" I came up with very little information suggesting that those are compatible injectors... The only real solution I found was a post on the injectors from a BMW1150 being compatible. The BMW1150 Bosch part number is 0-280-150-784 That injector has 28.8lbs/hr and from the pictures it looks nothing like the X1 injector. Any one else been down this road? I just tuned to the yellow pages (hard-copy, not on-line) when my XB injectors were not working right, can't find the receipt at the moment, but seems like it was about $45 for the pair to have the carbon scrubbed from the body, and new screens/filters put in, new o-rings and injectors checked to make sure they fire. Local to me, company is called Injection Tech, they had them done in just a few hours too. Just suggesting you may find a good rebuild/repair option locally. |

Absolutely a wild guess on my part, but ... The TPS has FoMoCo embossed in it. Believe it to be compatible w/an older 5.0L fuel injected Mustang. The individual cyl size of a 5.0L V-8 is 625cc, so .... Perhaps an older FI Mustang injector will work ??? |

..i believe purpony did some looking into/research on that and might be of the same as a 5.0 Mustang(early to mid 80's) as looking at the connections, they do have the Ford connectors and design...he may chime in to verify....LT |

I seem to recall that there was some sort of "gotcha". Like the little locator pins being offset by 60 degrees or something. |

Cant order from lshd. I am in Canada and American dealers cant ship Harley parts. everything must go through Deeleys... I soaked the injectors at work in a sonic cleaner for about an hour with no heat. installed them and it is a bit better but they are done. I need new ones. for the cost of new vs sending these ones out. I might aswell wait for the proper ones to come in. The Bosch number for the BMW injector is non recognizable. Pt cruiser turbo injectors flow more fuel and are more expensive then the HD ones. I looked into older ford mustangs for a injector with no luck. I do have a fuel pump from an 03 mustang in my bike. 2weeks till im riding again, time to rip into the S1 and see what i blew up. 2 bikes down... |

One of my friends recommended these guys for injectors--he got some custom ones for a turbo setup very reasonably priced. http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/fuel-injectors/ |
