Al, did we get the price on the Brake pedal yet, I think I may be in for a full set...98 S1W if its not too late to jump in, I have a set but its his first generation and this design looks like it does a better job of getting the angle for the push/pull force for rotating the shift shaft at more of a 90degree set up...so maybe I take advantage of this and update my set up.. 290 for the shifter assembly...how much for brake and is it too late to buy in on the discounted run? |

Al, How do we pay? Should I contact Banke directly. Sorry if I missed that info in the tread. Robert - X1&S1- on the list |

The parts will be put up in the American Sport Bike store. I'm assuming they'll be "out of stock" unless you're on the list, until everyone who piped up has purchased theirs. |

I'll have a link up on the web site soon, will post it here. Once there, you'll order it there just like anything else. I'm getting more of them than the group buy amount, after the first couple weeks, the price will go up slightly for folks that didn't commit to it here. I've turned James on to build, but it'll be a few weeks yet. Al |

OK folks, the products are up on the American Sport Bike website: Shifter: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5791A.html X1 Brake Pedal: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5779.html 98 S1/S1W Brake Pedal: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5782.html 96-97 S1 Brake Pedal: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5783.html I can't really link the commitments here to the orders easily, but I've ordered more than what was committed to here. The prices on the American Sport Bike site are $15-$20 lower than what they will become on 8/23/13. So if you want one, ORDER NOW. James said the shifters should be ready late this week or early next. I'm giving him the breakdown of X1/98 S1/96-97 S1 brake pedals committed to here, he's starting on the modifications needed for the S1 models next week. So we should be shipping these within a couple weeks. As usual, we don't charge until we ship. So place your orders NOW, and we'll get them out as we receive them. If you want a different colored shift shaft arm, note it in the order comments. Otherwise, it'll be the clear anodized 16205 shift arm. Thanks, Al |

Ordered my 2 sets, Al. Now if only I could remember where I buried those mason jars in the backyard... Thanks for putting in the time to make this come together, Al. Same goes to anyone else who invested and continues to invest precious time to help out all the brothers on the BadWeb. Many thanks, Dave |

I have received 6 orders through our system since my last post. If you committed to buying one of the shifter or brake pedals, please follow through and place the order on the American Sport Bike site per the instructions above. I haven't received them here yet, but should soon. Our website doesn't charge the card when you order, we only charge when we ship. So please place your order before the 23rd before I raise the price to the normal pricing. Thanks, Al |

Al, you may want to start PMing people. Could be that they're just not following this thread very closely, and didn't expect them to be available so soon. I know I was surprised they were up already. |

Thanks folks... most of the folks that committed have come through. We're still missing a few, I'll let the price ride at the group buy price for another week. James said that he'd be getting the first shipment out to me hopefully today, so we'll see them here Friday or Monday. Will try to get them out the same day if possible. I'm not sure there will be any pre-98 brake pedals in the first shipment, they take a little more work. We'll see. Thanks Al |

No rush needed on my end, so please take care of the ones who would like theirs sooner rather than later. Mine is going into the parts inventory for a build in progress. |

Any chance for a brake pedal for a 2000 M2 and peg (I have the shifter) relocator kits? |

Wes, Unless there are about 20 other M2/S3 owners looking for the same thing, it won't happen. They'd sit on the warehouse shelves WAY too long if I purchases a minimum buy from James. If you want to start a thread to try to get interest parties on board, I can make it happen if it gets any traction. But I'm somewhat doubtful that we can get enough to make it work. Most that have submitted their orders shipped in the past couple days. Tomorrow (Friday) the price goes up to the regular price, so submit your order today if you want one of these brake or shift pedals at the buy-in price. Al |

Wes, Too add to what Al said, you can contact James directly. He may make one for you, but it will be pricey. I had him build a set for my S1W last year, round holes and "tumbled finish" and I paid $410 for the shifter and $180 for the brake, plus shipping! |

I would be in for a set for an S2 both shifter and brake pedal, and if it would help and someone twisted my arm I could be talked into signing up for a set for an S3.... |

Got mine today. The pieces are very nice. I do have one concern, though. I placed the Banke brake pedal next to the stock (on the bike) and it seems to match. But with the shifter, the Banke version is about an inch longer than stock. I wear size 9 shoe and the stock pedal's length is just fine. Is the longer length workable? Or am I looking at it wrong somehow? Roderick |

A stock S1 "boomerang" pedal pivots on the footpeg. A Banke pedal pivots on a block out in front of the footpeg, like the 2001 style Buell shifters. So you can't compare the footpeg pedal lengths directly, it's meaningless. Mount it on the bike per the instructions, let me know if you have any concerns then. Al |

Al, Thanks. I thought that might be the case. I haven't decided yet about rear sets or relocators so will wait and see. Wes |

Finally had the time to array the kit out and see how it supposed to work. I learn quicker with a working model, be it a mechanical contraption or a piece of Perl code, to guide my visualization of things. Roderick |

Gents, Something is borked up. I installed according to instructions. The old shifter came off and the new kit installed with no issues. The bike starts fine, but as soon as I put it in gear, it kill the engine. What did I may have messed up? ##### Oopsie...I forgot I disconnected the sidestand jumper while working on the left peg. Just came back from the test ride and what a huge difference. I know that 'huge' is a superlative not really quantifiable but not sure how else to describe it. May be the difference for others are not the same, but for me, it was huge. It was so easy to mis-shift with the old set up but it looks like not with the Banke. Much less travel to shift and finding neutral is noticeably easier. It is a bit odd now that I no longer have the occasional feel of the looooong shaft brushing the inside of the left ankle. Now I need that Baker smooth shift thingy. Thnx much Al for putting this together. Roderick |
