I have had a few interests on my bike. I know this is a common question on the value of our bikes. especially customized ones. Just wanted some feedback. Dont want to sell it or need to sell it. Just cant justify the blue book value of $3500... What would you sell this X1 for?

Personally, I wouldn't. But that doesn't answer your question... |

twelve dollars this is a dumb thread, sorry - you say you dont want to sell it, or need to, but you want us to say what we think its worth? why? |

Beautiful bike!! What I have decided on mine is: it's worth less than I have in building it and more than I can ever get for it! Which still doesn't help answer your question..... |

Depends. If somebody wants an X1 with those kinds of mods, that looks like a nicely executed bike, and they should probably pay the cost of a nice used X1 ($2500-$4000?) plus the cost of used updates ($500-$1000?). So, objectively, if a friend was asking me, I'd say anything between $2500 and $5000 would be a fair deal if they fell in love with the bike. It looks nicely executed, good job on the build. |

++ Purpony. What is the exchange rate between dollars and smiles? $9,000, thats like a million smiles and a permanent S**t eating grin! Don't worry about your portfolio, have fun. Nice job, btw. Looking good. |

Thanks guys, I am asking what you think it would be worth as this Buell market is a small niche and prices are polar opposites from here in Canada then in USA and completely different over the pond. I had 2 offers and I denied both offers with a follow up to "Well what would you sell it for?". Since selling isnt going to happen I have never thought about it. So here I am asking some fellow Buellers their opinion. All in all Im loving this ride and will firmly say 10k so if someone is crazy enough to buy it at that price I can buy 2 more Buells. Jolly - I like your reasoning on price. And Purpony your bike is worth $9,000. You would get that in Canada or overseas. |

Good question. The price is really in the eye of the beholder. I noticed these buells go for a bit more money in California. Here is Arizona, you couldn't give it away. It looks really beautiful thought You can probably ask 8K as a conservative price but I would take the first $6,500 or even $7,000 that came my way. If it runs good and looks good and your having fun, i'd probably just keep it. Best of luck. |

around here (SW Missouri) a tuber is about $3000. With the chrome frame, XB front end, headlight, exhaust mods, I'd hope for $4000 for this fine beast : ) |

There are two X1 for sale in my area. One is a 2001 white with nuc blue frame/wheels, totally stock with 2300 miles asking $4100. The other one is a 1999 yellow tastefully modded with 3400 miles asking $4500. |

Couple for sale near San Francisco, asking price $3,700, and $4,000. I'd wager they will negotiate to $3,500 |
