my dad likes to go riding with me on the 2000 m2... the stock shock is WAY too soft and not enough spring... would a properly sprung works or penske shock make this a suitable rig for 2 adult males so it willnot bottom out? thanx for answering | ||

Penske or the Works shock are good choices. I am not sure how Penske does it, but Works will set up the shock with the correct spring rate for your weight and riding style. i.e, 2 up etc. (Message edited by kc_zombie on May 05, 2013) | ||

Another option is an S2 or S3 shock - with the right eye-to-eye measurement. They were sprung heavier for the 2-up situation. | ||

Isn't the Preload adjustment useful for this? My former yamaha had a handy knob to twist for carrying a 100 to 120 pound passenger. Twist it back, back to stock. The Penske takes a special wrench, one has to practically crawl under the bike, and there are no reference marks that I can make out. | ||

No buell other than a Ulysses has a preload knob. They all have the adjustment...but you need a tool. |
