RE: 1999 S3T wide bags One of the latches (clamps) that mounts my bags to the frame, not the common early style locking latch break, broke after my last ride. The bag was unloaded and it appears the backing nut vibrated loose and not off. When I went to clamp it down the next time an inner plastic part of the clamp broke. It still clamps, but not tightly. I am looking for a replacement or a solution to mount my bags solid again. Quick release is nice, but not cutting the uncracked inner bag is more important. Anyone know of a similar lever style clamp that works? I have not found anything too helpful with the search function. Thanks for the help, usually I get it here without having to ask, | ||

You can use the metal clamping tab and build your own using a nut, bolt and some washers. It takes a minute or two longer to take it on and off, but it works. |
