Anyone have any thoughts about these tires? Michelin RD3 "sport touring" tires? Dual compound. Think I made a good choice? I have no idea yet. They are mounting the front today the rear when it comes in. |

I had the Dunlop version of them and loved them. No experience with the Michelins but hear nothing but good things. I think you did well. |

If you're talking about Pilot Road 3, they're excellent. I had a PR3's on the XB & I've PR3 on the Front & PR2 on the rear of the M2. The front is superb wet or dry & I don't even notice the transition between the two in a bend. Very confidence inspiring & makes me a better rider. |

Great tires. Not quite as sticky as a true sportbike tire, but they wear really well so you get great life out of them. (Message edited by reepicheep on April 26, 2013) |

I had them on my old Honda 919. Those tires were not the weak link on that bike, and I could heel it all the way over. |

If they're the PR2 or 3...great tires. Great wear on-center, nice and gummy on the sides. Dunno if I'd track-day with them, but they're awesome on the street. I have PR2's on the S2 and have hit standing water with them with no issues. PR3's on the S1W, love the transitional behavior, grip, and ride. |

http://www.michelin.co.uk/motorcycles/michelin-pil ot-road-3 These are the ones I got. Dual compound and they are good to 120 degree temps. 168 MPH speed rating. I got new brakes, new rear shock, forks rebuilt, and new tires. I should be ready for Springfast ride.. That is on top of all the new stuff I just did to this Puppy so I could ride it. |
