Author Message   Buellx1w Posted on Friday, April 12, 2013 - 11:32 pm:        02 X1 wouldn't start. I gapped each plug. no change. Put in stock ECM. No change. Bought a new fuel pump and installed it - NO CHANGE. Pulled the fuel filter and connected the lines directly. No pressure at the rail. Followed the flow chart in the service manual- all voltages look perfect. It says SERVICE FUEL PUMP. Added a TSP of fuel to cylinders- she ran for like 10 seconds.. I pulled the fuel line at the injector rail- no fuel with NEW pump running. I puled the regulator "cup" off (2 screws). It comes right off. Is it supposed to be attached with a membrane? Or an O Ring? I don't see either... It was recommended here to buy ECM spy, and the cable, which I did, and it told me nothing.. ..and to send injectors to RC, which I did, and they came back pretty much as I sent them out.. No change. There's like $140 wasted.. the real problem is, it seems, the fuel regulator. So what's next? Are the regulators sold separately? Is it like the fuel pump, where HD charges 5X what I cant get them for elsewhere? Maybe I only need O rings? Lets start with inexpensive solutions... So far its all $$ out the door and no results.. Been a few years since I looked at it. Got a sheet of rubber inner tube material?
