Nice looking bike. However, Buell Motor Company did not make the X1 Lightning until 1999! |

Overall a nice looking bike but I absolutely hate that oil tank. Looks like the whole bike was made and then he went "Oh yeah, it's a dry sump engine" and then just slapped a tank on it. |

There are dozens of better looking bikes on this forum. |

I like most everything about that bike, alot of work went into it, I think the oil tank is cool too, except the seat/tail, just doesn't flow....and also how does adding one ducati cowl make it a Bucati?? If that were the case, then more than half of all tubers would be "Bucati" since they share the same tail light and switchgear as older ducati monsters..about the same as arguing that a new harley or chevrolet is all-american even tho they use showa suspension and chinese or japanese electronics...JEESH! |

Pretty cool how the Force Exhaust is the exhaust of choice on these customs. What's strange to me is the use of the "recall" shock albeit powder coated. |

about the same as arguing that a new harley or chevrolet is all-american even tho they use showa suspension and chinese or japanese electronics...JEESH!" people say that Buells are AMerican sportbikes, right? But they don't have all American parts. where do you draw the line? not my style, especially that oil tank |

HAH, Buell was included in that generality....I personally do draw the line at calling that thing a "Bucati"....dumb name for something that does not qualify as a real combination of the two brands... |

Also wanted qualify "WHY" I like (didn't say "love") that oil tank, definitely gives the bike some much needed symmetry when looking at it from behind and seated... |

I believe the handlebar switches/controls were sourced from Ducati (or their vendor) from 1996-1998. Not sure what they did when Harley completely took over. What I like about these projects is they evoke an emotional response and make for a great exchange of opinions and ideas. My old man used to say "you are welcome to your own opinion no matter how wrong it is". Don't really care for the "Bucati" moniker either.. |

I'm with you 01. Nice execution, but not really interested in the finished product. I can still get a kick out of the workmanship. |
