tipped over (slow) my x1. now leaking a small amount of oil. It runs down the bottom fairing/cowling to it's lowest point then drops. About a silver dollar size puddle. Oil filter is tight, no oil outside. Did some oil get in the cylinders and it's just leaking off? There's no damage to the bike.}

Wash the engine off? Gotta catch it upstream of the chin fairing.
Oil in the cylinders I wouldn't expect to behave like that at all.
But, what 'head breather' arrangement do you have? If you have a splooge dump tube, that would be the first place to look... If you have a 'Catch Can' maybe its full?

Not sure what side you are leaking on but the pivot bolt for the shifter can leak and cause that symptom.

My little oil leak trick:
Clean suspicious area. Spray it with powder spray on deoderant or antifungal powder spray. This will cake on white. The origin of the leak will turn brown first and be very obvious!
